White-Johnson obtained a BA with a major in Visual Arts within the University of Maryland Baltimore County. In addition, she has an MFA in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She teaches currently as a Guest Lecturer in the University of Minnesota School of Design as part of the Design Justice Initiative and was an Assistant Professor in Visual Communication and Digital Media Arts at Bowie State University for ten years.
