April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. Ross is among the few women beach volleyball athletes who have achieved this feat. Alix-Klineman will compete with April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal over the coming days. Ross hopes to win more than just her first Olympic medal. At 39 this may be her last opportunity to accomplish this. However, she's confident that the top awards are within reach. If we play our top or perform well, I think we'll win the gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. In addition, I'm planning to rely on a bit of good luck. Ross was born in California in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa along with her parents and younger sister. Ross's athletic endeavors continued at Newport Harbor High School where she played in a variety of different sports. She was a basketball player and also ran track in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements as a pre-collegiate athlete. But she stood out during this game. Her college biography states that she was an outside-hitting hitter, middle blocker and setter during her volleyball career in high school. Her achievements were rewarded when she was named 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National Player of the Year. Also, she won the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. While Ross Klineman and Ross are in the spotlight since the year 2017, Klineman had already been a major player on the beach scene long before their pairing. The fact is, she's won multiple big tournaments and one partner was a volleyball superstar. Ross teamed up together with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and she also served as Klineman's personal trainer. Along with Kessy Ross, she won an Olympic Title in 2009 when she competed in the international circuit. They took home a Silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team that was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, edged each other to take home the gold medal. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she retired. Together, they won bronze medals in beach volleyball for the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her college prior to becoming a professional. Her career was a success through the college. She was a All-American as well as Pac-10 freshman of the year in the year 2000, a young freshman. She also helped her Trojans to reach the Final Four. During her sophomore year she experienced a devastating personal setback, but she was able to make it back as an All-American. The last two years with the Trojans team they won success by winning two successive national titles. The achievements of each individual have established her place as a legendary volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross was a major in international relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the privilege of watching Ross' daughter blossom into a beach volleyball superstar. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. But she still keeps her parent close to his heart. Margie continues to be an inspiration both on and off of the beach.
