Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, who is an actress as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother, a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her work at play rehearsals. Anna appeared in several advertisements when she was a child. Anna moved to Toronto in November 1999 to pursue her acting talents. Then, she settled in Los Angeles (California) over the following decade. She was introduced to Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' workshop in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009. They were married at a civil wedding ceremony in December and they renewed their vows at the form of a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011 following Anna's conversion to Judaism. Bo and Lauren's romance (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) is featured in CNN's top television couples list. They were also named in the 2013 edition of E! as the top TV couple of 2013.
